Adding your first property
Properties are the top of RentPoa's structure. Everything else — units, tenants, invoices — hangs off them.
Create the property
From the dashboard, open Properties and choose Add property. Give it a name your team recognises, pick the type, and set the location.
- 1
Click Properties in the left sidebar, then Add property.
- 2
Enter the name, type and location.
- 3
Set the number of units and the default rent — you can override per unit later.
- 4
Choose the day rent falls due each month.
Add units
Units are the things tenants actually occupy. RentPoa can generate them for you in a sequence (A1, A2, A3…) or you can name each one by hand.
If your block uses house numbers rather than letters, generate the sequence first and rename in bulk from the units table.
Set the billing items
Beyond rent, add any recurring charges — water, garbage, service charge, parking. Fixed amounts bill automatically; metered items prompt you for a reading each cycle.
